Workbench guide

One surface, the whole piece

There is nothing to unlock and no sequence to march through. The tour below names each part of the Workbench, so the real thing feels familiar the moment you open it.

The surface

Preview and rail

The piece never leaves the screen. It sits on a permanent stage on the left, while a single rail on the right holds every decision. Move down the rail and the same object recarves in place, so you are always looking at the thing you are shaping.

Workbench Place controls: a search field above the satellite crop map
Search, then the crop frame on the map

Place

Place

Search for a place you love, or begin with one of 28 presets across 7 categories. The crop frame holds steady while you pan, zoom, and rotate the land behind it, so the preview keeps pace with the ground you choose.

Workbench Footprint controls: eight outline shapes and your own outline, as cards
Eight shapes, or your own outline

Shape

Footprint

Footprint is the outline the piece keeps: one of eight shapes, from square and circle to arch and octagon, or your own outline drawn on the map. It is not decoration; it tells the map how your land is framed.

Workbench Size controls: seven sizes from Coaster to Gallery
Seven sizes, Coaster to Gallery

Scale

Size

Size sets the finished scale, from a Coaster you can hold to a Gallery piece that anchors a wall. Each option names where it tends to live, so the piece stays tied to a real room rather than a screen.

Workbench Species and Finish controls with wood swatches
Wood species, then finish

Material

Species and finish

Choose the wood species and the finish. The preview is an honest stand-in for solid wood: a representative read of tone and grain, never a promise about the board you will receive. Walnut is the Provenance baseline, with Maple, Cherry, Oak, and Birch each reading a little differently, finished Natural, Matte, or Gloss.

Workbench Relief controls: a terrain height slider and detail level
Terrain height and detail level

Terrain

Relief

Relief controls how boldly the land rises from the base. Keep the terrain quiet or let it stand tall with Terrain height, and set the Detail level for the preview. The preview refines in the background, then settles when the piece is ready.

The same surface, stacked

On a smaller screen the preview sits above the rail instead of beside it. The relationship holds: shape the place, watch the piece, and keep moving down the rail when you are ready.

First-Run Interest

At the end of the rail, a quiet summary gathers your place, Footprint, size, species, finish, and Relief in plain words. Join the first run and we record your interest in the first production run, nothing more. No purchase, no obligation.
